چکیده

Recently, online vendors and providers manage review systems as a mechanism to advertise their services and goods over the Web. In making their choice, clients can rely on a set of feedback expressing the degree of satisfaction of past users with respect to such services and goods. These feedback, or reviews, may be filtered by categories of users, they may be affected by multiple factors, and they are elaborated in order to obtain an overall score, representing a global indicator aimed at summarising the level of quality of that service. In this paper, we concentrate on multi-factor review, i.e., a review whose value is computed assembling the scores given to a set of parameters that may affect the quality level of a service. Our interest is evaluating the relevance, or dominance, of some parameter with respect to the others. We advocate the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process, a well-known technique born in the area of multi-criteria decision making, to derive the priorities to assign to the scores of the single parameters. We illustrate the proposal on the example of hotel reviews.

Applying Interpretive- Structural Modelling to Review Priorities of Health Reform Plan: Evidence-based policy making

Introduction: Considering the fact that the health reform plan has been implemented for five years, it is necessary to re-evaluate the plan and adapt it to the needs and macro policies of our society. Therefore, the current study aimed to use health-related scientific evidences together with the experiences, opinion, and expertise of field professionals to achieve priorities for health refor...

ABSTRACT Slotted Priorities: Supporting Real-Time Computing Within General-Purpose Operating Systems

Slotted Priorities: Supporting Real-Time Computing Within General-Purpose Operating Systems Recent advances in network technologies, processor capabilities, and microcomputer system hardware, coupled with the explosive growth of the Internet and on-line data access, have created new demands on personal computer operating systems and hardware. In large part, these demands are for the ability to ...

The expressive power of CHR with priorities

Constraint Handling Rules (CHR) is a committed-choice declarative language which has been originally designed for writing constraint solvers and which is nowadays a general purpose language. Recently the language has been extended by introducing user-definable (static or dynamic) rule priorities. The resulting language allows a better control over execution while retaining a declarative and fle...

Prioritization in Parallel Symbolic Computing

It is argued that scheduling is an important determinant of performance for many parallel symbolic computations, over and above the issues of dynamic load balancing and grainsize control. We propose associating unbounded levels of priorities with tasks and messages as the mechanism of choice for specifying scheduling strategies. We demonstrate how priorities can be used in par-allelizing comput...

Energy-Based Models of P Systems

Energy plays an important role in many theoretical computational models. In this paper we review some results we have obtained in the last few years concerning the computational power of two variants of P systems that manipulate energy while performing their computations: energy-based and UREM P systems. In the former, a fixed amount of energy is associated to each object, and the rules transfo...
